Showered Spoiled!

My sister and sister in law threw me a baby shower on February 26th! It was awesome! The pictures are on Markie's blog. Then last weekend my co-workers threw me another baby shower! Talk about spoiled! Again it was a really nice party that made me feel so special! I think my girl Tiffany is more excited for my baby girl than I am! She researched baby showers for weeks, made a great cake and did some really cute decorating! Everyone told her she should go into the party planning business, but I think it wore her out!

Snowshoing

I've been doing a lot of snowshoeing this winter, I love it! I've gone up with my girl Amy, the Holcombs, Bo, and I even don't mind going by myself! What else are you gonna do with 5 ft. of snow everywhere you turn?

Jack Attack

I went to see my sister a few weeks ago and had a lot of fun! Jack really watches and mimics just about everything, as all kids do, but I really got a kick out of Markelle's "getting ready" routine. Jack kept going into her bathroom trying to get into all her stuff and she kept kicking him out. He would try to grab whatever he could before his mom threw him out. He was determined to get her makeup brushes, so to distract him, I tried to show him how to use the brushes, but that wasn't good enough! He already knew how to use them and he wanted them dipped in makeup! After I didn't see him for awhile, I went to look for him and found him in the hall really concentrating on this...

Afternoon at Lemon

I took my boys to Lemon Reservoir after church today. They love to run and swim and fetch, fetch, fetch! Chester might be the more impressive athlete, but Ruger never gives up and he is ALWAYS the first one back whether he has the ball or not. It is understood that the ball is mainly Ruger's. Even Chester, the dominant one gives in to Ruger's incessant pleading for the ball. Here are a few pics I got with my phone- (still no camera since Chester ate it!)

So seriously is this one gorgeous family or what? Sorry I've just got to gush! I love this picture of everyone. Not that looks are what's most important, but if it were........ :) This handsome family is a pleasure to meet too- I assure you! I can't believe how fast the kids seem to have grown since they've moved! I miss 'my kids' so bad! I can't wait until Thanksgiving! Seriously I may not. I just may hop in the car with my mom and dad on the 17th!

Another weekend gone by...

Well I had a nice long weekend! I got my house cleaned up, the laundry done, and had a late anniversary dinner with my hubby at the Sow's Ear- its kind of a tradition! They have incredible food and service to match! Amy and I went on a bike ride out to Bakers Bridge on Saturday. That was somewhere between 32-34 miles Amy- I hope you weren't hating me today! I hadn't been out since the triathlon so my neck was pretty sore today. We got together with our friends the Millers who just got back from a trip to Hawaii! Chester and Ruger had a good weekend too, they got to go to Lemon Reservoir to swim, and did a bunch of fetching for the ball! I'm sad the weekend is over- its back to work in the morning! The weather was great this weekend, but its starting to feel like fall in the evenings:( I just hope we have a nice long Indian summer!

Time for an update?

So its been a while! I haven't really been on the computer in a while, I'm just not into it lately, but I figure if I'm gonna keep this blog I might as well post every now and then. Bo graduated in May with his Physics Engineering degree (yeah!) However, it was kind of bad timing seeing as how no one is hiring! We are trying to hold out so we can stay in Durango, but if something doesn't happen soon, we will have to move to a bigger city! I was in a triathlon over the 4th of July- it was my first one and I was part of a team with my sis and Amy Spence. I did the 26 mile biking segment with only four weeks to train, and never being on a road bike previously. It was really fun and we took 2nd in our category! For graduation, Bo's parents treated us to a week long Maui vacation- so fun and great of them! We still don't have a camera so I have been dependent of others sending me pics and so far that really hasn't happened- hint hint Markelle and Jeannie! Amy did send me a few, I look like pooh, but this was our team below. If I get any Hawaii pics I'll post them later. Oh and Ruger has been begging to be let outside so he can get his ball, I'm tired of playing with him so I decided to ignore him. He however, decided to overrule me and went staight through the screen door! Great Bo is totally going to blame me! Do Markelle and I look like sisters?
